Man United have been able to get young winger Shea Lacey tied down to sign his first professional contract with the club.
According to the reliable AcademyScoop, The teenager turned 17 on Sunday (April 14) and has agreed to sign a deal with the Red Devils to stay on for the foreseeable future. He will officially sign the deal on the day after his birthday.
This comes after Lacey was recently promoted to train with the senior squad, showing how much the club trusts him to play a have the possibility of playing for the first-team soon.
The Englishman, who has been likened to Lionel Messi because of his exciting playing style, recently returned from a spell out of action due to injury.
Lacey has scored two goals and provided four assists across nine appearances for Man United’s U-18 side this season.
