Two Man United players who have done well vs Liverpool...and four who must improve

Man United have been outplayed by Liverpool for the majority of the first half and have already gone 1-0 down.

Luis Diaz's goal means that the Red Devils have everything to do in order to make a comeback and defeat their rivals. Here are the players who impressed in the first half and those who really need to improve.

Did well

Willy Kambwala: The French defender has shown nerves of steel in such a big match. Kambwala has been proactive and energetic at the back, stopping Darwin Nunez on multiple occasions. Made two clearances and a key interception in a pretty solid half.

Andre Onana: Onana was unable to do much to save Diaz's goal due to the sheer pace of his shot. He has, although, done well to make a string of sharp saves to keep the game from getting away from Man United.

Must improve

Rasmus Hojlund: Hojlund has been frustrating to watch up-front, running a promising chance early in the half. Failed to impose himself and not being able to win duels, while also missing a potential opportunity with a set-piece.

Bruno Fernandes: The Man United captain has been quite inefficient, giving away the ball quite a few times. He's been unable to create anything, mistiming his final third passes and lacking attacking influence despite being defensively decent.

Casemiro: Casemiro is just not being able to cope with the intensity of Liverpool's midfielders. Repeatedly getting bypassed in midfield and not being able to help much defensively due to his questionable positioning. Unable to exert much attacking influence either.

Marcus Rashford: Apart from that one chance he created to send Hojlund through on goal in the 16th minute, Rashford has been kept quiet. Not being able to trouble Conor Bradley or influence moves through the left.
