Andre Onana named as Man United's POTM for March heroics, Amad Diallo also wins award

Man United have confirmed that Andre Onana has been voted as their Player of the Month for his heroics in March.

The 28-year-old started in all four matches for the Red Devils last month, keeping one clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Everton.

However, Onana was arguably the club’s best player in the 1-1 draw against Brentford and made important saves against Liverpool too. He had a decent outing in the 3-1 loss to Man City, making some nice saves and also helping set up Marcus Rashford’s goal.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper was able to beat out competition from Alejandro Garnacho and Diogo Dalot for this award. Onana saved 23 shots from the 30 he faced on target in the four matches, proving his quality in between the goal.

Meanwhile, Amad Diallo was also rewarded for his excellent last-gasp winner in the 4-3 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final.

That is because his goal was able to beat Marcus Rashford’s stunner against Man City to win Man United’s Goal of the Month award for March.
