Jason Wilcox resigns from Southampton to join as Man United technical director

Southampton have no choice but to let go of Jason Wilcox, who is eager to join as the new Manchester United technical director, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The Saints were reportedly angry with Man United's approach for Wilcox and refused to reach an agreement.

When negotiations between both clubs stalled, Wilcox turned in his resignation as he wants to join the new project at Man United.

He's renowned for his work as Man City's Head of Academy as well as his executive role at Southampton.

Wilcox is understood to be a crucial figure in Sir Jim Ratcliffe's plans going forward.
