Brentford become first team to have 80+ touches in opponents' box this season

Brentford set a unique record as they battered Manchester United throughout the 1-1 draw on Saturday.

As per Squawka, they have officially become the first Premier League side to have 80+ touches in the opponents' box in one game so far in 2023/24.

That's more than the previous record of Manchester City registering 79 shots against Man United back in 2019. Curiously enough, Man United didn't lose that game either.

The Red Devils looked like they were out of their depth as Brentford were by far the superior team.

The Bees had several key players missing as well, including club captain Christian Norgaard.

Man United were fortunate to rescue a point they didn't deserve via Mason Mount's goal.
