Man United ready to skip negotiations and pay release clause for Juventus defender Bremer (reliability: 3 stars)

Man United have started to get heavily linked to a possible summer move for Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.

Now, Italian outlet La Repubblica are claiming that the Red Devils are actually open to skipping the negotiations part with the Serie A club for Bremer’s deal.

That is because the Brazilian centre-back has a €60m release clause inserted into his contract, which Man United aim to trigger should they finally make a move for him.

Despite becoming a key player at Juventus, there are question marks over Bremer’s future at the club because of his release clause and interest from other clubs.

The Italian side could also be forced to entertain offers for the 27-year-old because of the financial fairplay issues they are facing.

Apart from Bremer, Man United are also interested in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite but realize that it could be more expensive to sign him from a fellow Premier League side.
