Rio Ferdinand hit out at Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher for the shameless manner in which he tried to demean Man United’s win over his side in the FA Cup quarter-final.
After the game, Rio posted a picture of the Red Devils’ celebration off this win and another one when he is celebrating with his teammates a few decades ago.
Carragher was seemingly triggered by this and replied: “Relax. Man City will beat you comfortably in the final & ETH will still be in charge next season. It’s not the win you think it is!!”
Ferdinand bit back at this perfectly, replying: “We Have to enjoy these times….you lot celebrated beating us when u did like it was winning the league Jamie ffs!”
The fact of the matter is that Carragher and millions of Liverpool fans around the world are in denial and shock to lose to Man United because of how overconfident they were over a win before the game.
By eliminating the Reds from the competition, Man United also maintained their 100+ year record of never losing an FA Cup knockout game to Liverpool and maintained their charge towards the title.
