'It's horrible': Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sympathises with Erik ten Hag's biggest issue at Man United

Speaking on The Overlap, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "Obviously I hope Erik ten Hag succeeds. We all hope he succeeds.

"But you never know what the new owners think. What matters is results and consistency. I've been there. Definitely. It's that inconsistency again.

"Play well for a time and you don't know what you are going to get and that's the worst thing for a manager. It's horrible when you don't know what you're going to get from your team."

Ten Hag's maiden campaign at Manchester United has been widely regarded as a success but his second season has been plagued by inconsistencies.

Just recently, the Red Devils have lost back-to-back games in the Premier League, suffering a blow to their top-four hopes after going on a decent run.
