Jadon Sancho saw his Borussia Dortmund side suffer an embarrassing 3-2 loss at home to TSG Hoffenheim at the weekend.
He was unable to get among the goals, and despite creating three goal-scoring chances, it seems some of the German media were disappointed with his display.
German outlet Der Westen wrote of the Man United loanee’s display: “BVB was so happy when Jadon Sancho was brought back during the last winter transfer period. The prodigal son is finally back.
“He really sent the fans into a state of euphoria. A few weeks later there is no sign of it anymore. Against TSG Hoffenheim, the supporters hoped that the 23-year-old would finally score his first goal. But they were disappointed once again. The BVB star showed another poor performance against Hoffenheim and was probably the worst player on the pitch.”
This comes after Sancho was criticized for his poor performance for Dortmund in their recent 1-1 draw against PSV in the Champions League Round of 16. The Englishman has made seven appearances for the German side since joining them on loan – producing two assists.
