Antony has surprisingly been named as one of the players who could fill the void left by the injured Luke Shaw. Shaw is expected to miss at least eight weeks with a hamstring injury.
With Tyrel Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka injured as well, Victor Lindelof has occasionally slotted into that role. While the Swede remains an option, the faithful have thrown in Sofyan Amrabat and Antony.
Amrabat previously played that role too. However, Antony is the only natural left-footer left in the team. Here's what fans had to say on X:
