Are any Man United loanees doing well?

Manchester United currently have four players out on loan and except for Mason Greenwood, there isn't much new about the rest.

Greenwood is perhaps the only one who has seen a steep increase in his value after the loan to Getafe.

The Red Devils have already recalled Charlie McNeill from his underwhelming spell at Stevenage. They may also terminate Alvaro Fernandez's loan with Granada.

To better understand how they are faring individually, here's a round-up on their stints so far.

Mason Greenwood is having a dream return to football with Getafe as his displays have reportedly attracted attention from Real Madrid and Barcelona. With five goals and four assists to his name since joining over the summer, the winger has been on an upward trajectory.

Verdict: Developing well

Alvaro Fernandez has not got regular minutes for Granada, who are languishing in the relegation zone. He's made 13 appearances this season, out of which only five were starts.

Before joining Granada on loan, Fernandez told The Athletic: "What message did United give me?

"That I should go out on loan, that [Erik] ten Hag didn’t count on me, that I should continue to gain experience, rhythm, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

"But it’s clear that football doesn’t end at any club and that you have to keep working. My main objective is to return to United and make a place for myself there."

Verdict: Not so great

Donny van de Beek has only just joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan this month. He's yet to feature in a game for his new club.

Verdict: We must wait and watch

Brandon Williams has been mostly warming the benches even with Kieran McKenna as manager at Ipswich Town. He's had quite a fall from grace, despite being one of the most exciting young talents at the Academy.

Out of 17 appearances this term, the defender has made only eight starts. Even when he's played, Williams' performances haven't been the most note-worthy - except for the two goals he scored in the Championship.

Verdict: Far from great
