Ten Hag blocks Hannibal Mejbri's loan move - reason revealed

Hannibal Mejbri was reportedly set to move to another club on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season after being snubbed by Tunisia for the Africa Cup of Nations.

But, as per journalist Ahmed Adala, Erik ten Hag has now blocked the 20-year-old from going out on loan to another club.

That is because the gaffer wants him to keep up his midfield options with Casemiro and Mason Mount struggling with injuries.

Ten Hag perceives Hannibal as a valuable member of his squad and someone who can be a cover to his midfielders.

Mejbri is also reportedly in talks with the Red Devils to extend his contract with the club, which expires later this summer.

Hannibal has made 10 appearances in all competitions for Man United this season, only scoring one goal.
