Donny van de Beek breaks silence after Frankfurt move

"New year, new chapter! Really happy to be part of this great club," Donny van de Beek wrote on Instagram after his loan move from Man United to Eintracht Frankfurt was confirmed. 

In a video posted on social media, the midfielder added: " Hello Eintracht fans, it’s Donny here.

"I’m very happy that I can join you guys. I can’t wait to start and I hope to see you soon in the stadium. All the best."

Van de Beek's move to Frankfurt was confirmed on New Year’s Day, with the club having an option to buy him in the summer. He will wear no 25.

The 26-year-old has endured a tough spell at Old Trafford. He made just 62 appearances, scoring two goals, with just two outings in the current campaign.
