The 2024 January transfer window is now underway! Premier League teams, including Man United, have the opportunity to sign or offload players until February 1, 2024.
The Red Devils are likely to be restricted to only loan signings if they do sign a player, with John Murtough confirming that there won’t be massive spending in the winter window.
Man United will also probably look to offload some players to clean their squad and reduce the wage bill too. Here are all the potential transfers involving Man United in January 2024.
New striker on loan: Man United could look to get a back-up for Rasmus Hojlund by getting a new striker in January. They’ve already been linked to multiple Bundesliga stars like Timo Werner and Donyell Malen. With both players open to leaving, the Red Devils could pop a surprise by roping in one on loan later in the transfer window.
Jadon Sancho: Man United are reportedly prioritizing an exit for Sancho, who has been exiled since hitting out at Erik ten Hag earlier this season. He has many interested parties, but is likely to be loaned out due to nobody wanting to match his huge wage demands.
Hannibal Mejbri: After not getting picked by Tunisia for the Africa Cup of Nations, Mejbri is reportedly set for a loan move for the second half of the season. He is also likely to extend his contract with Man United before being sent to a club that promises him regular playing time.
Sergio Reguilon: Reguilon’s loan deal reportedly has a clause that allows Man United to terminate the loan deal in January if they want to. With the Spaniard barely playing and both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia due to return from injuries, his loan might be ended this month too.
Donny van de Beek: The Dutch midfielder has already been loaned out to German side Eintracht Frankfurt for the remainder of the 2023/24 season and will return to Old Trafford in the summer.
