Marseille are annoyed over links to Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, reports in France have claimed.
United are believed not to have any intention to activate the option to extend Martial’s contract when it expires at the end of this season.
Martial signed a new five-year deal in 2019, which included a clause enabling United to prolong his stay by 12 months until June 2025.
But as things stand the Old Trafford hierarchy are expected to let the 28-year-old forward leave as a free agent next summer — unless suitable offers from suitors arrive in January.
Among clubs linked to the Frenchman is Marseille but La Provence reports that an offer may not be forthcoming.
The publication added that Marseille are “annoyed” by the “unfounded” rumours.
