But, as per The Sun, the Red Devils have faced a blow in the pursuit of Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy.
The Guinea striker, who has 16 goals in the Bundesliga this season, has opted against the possibility of joining Man United next year as he prefers a move to Tottenham Hotspur instead.
The Red Devils are now looking at possible alternatives, which include Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri as well.
With Rasmus Hojlund struggling to score goals, Erik ten Hag could be forced to look for other options in the upcoming January window.
However, due to financial fairplay restrictions, the Red Devils might be limited to only dealing in loan signings next month.
