'He was very controlled': Paul Scholes names Man United player who impressed him vs West Ham

Speaking after the Man United vs West Ham United game after which one player from his ex-side impressed him, Paul Scholes told TNT Sport: “Kobbie Mainoo.

“I know he made a mistake, but I thought throughout the game, he was very good. 

“He was very controlled, played above his years really. I thought the young centre-half did okay, didn’t really have too much to do.”

Mainoo made a catastrophic error that led to West Ham’s second goal, but did not put in a foot wrong apart from that.

The young Englishman was quite impressive apart from that mistake and proved why he needs to keep starting games going forward.
