Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed their interest in Donny van de Beek. The club's sporting director Markus Krosche told Kicker: "I'm very confident that Donny will be with us for the next six months.
"We still need quality across the board. We need experience, we are a very young team. Donny can certainly help us with that."
Van de Beek is believed to have agreed personal terms with Frankfurt and the two clubs are thrashing it out to finalise the cost involved for his loan services.
The option to make the Dutchman's stay permanent next summer is thought to be worth £12.5million if that is triggered before next season.
Van de Beek has been unable to break into the United team with any regularity three-and-a-half-years after he joined them from Ajax.
