talkSPORT: ex-Chelsea boss 'in contention' to replace Erik ten Hag at Man United (reliability: 4 stars)

Graham Potter is 'a contender' to replace Erik ten Hag as a Manchester United manager if the Dutchman faces dismissal due to a recent run poor results.

According to talkSPORT, Ten Hag is now under increasing pressure after the team's exits from the Champions League and seven Premier League defeats.

Should the 53-year-old depart, the Red Devils might turn to former Chelsea boss Potter, whose work is admired by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a future minority stake holder.

Potter, who has been out of work since April, also has a connection with Dan Ashworth, a candidate for the sporting director role, from their time at Brighton.
