After playing in Turkey's 3-2 victory against Germany, Altay Bayindird joined the game against Wales, substituting for the injured Ugurcan Cakir after only 33 minutes.
Bayindird made a great save to stop Brennan Johnson from scoring right before halftime and blocked the Tottenham forward's attempt early in the second half with a dive to his right.
Despite Johnson scoring a goal that got disallowed later in the game, the Man United keeper couldn't do much about it. Overall, Bayindird stood out for his alertness and distribution from the back.
"He did very well in our games against Germany and Wales," said Turkey head coach Vincenzo Montella. "He is a young goalkeeper and I expect and hope that he can get great experience at United.
"I hope he can play first-team football which will give him even more experience and then he'll be even better when he comes back to us."
It seemed like Altay Bayindir had lost a chance to play for Manchester United this year, but now he might have an opportunity this weekend. Andre Onana might not be able to play against Everton on Sunday due to an injury that made him leave the Cameroon squad.
