Adrien Rabiot's mother and agent have denied claims that the player's move from Juventus to Manchester United didn't happen due to money issues.
Rabiot had caught Man United's interest when they couldn't secure Frenkie de Jong. Reds' representatives even went to Turin for talks, but a deal didn't materialize, and Casemiro was signed instead.
Rabiot's mother said via Sport Witness: "Did it all fall apart due to a question of money? All false. United wanted to meet me to illustrate the interest in Adrien, but we never talked about money in detail because he quickly decided to stay in Turin. There were never any real negotiations."
Manchester United's midfield is causing concerns for Ten Hag due to a growing number of injuries this season. While Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat have joined the squad, neither has displayed the expected performance levels.
