Pogba may be forced to retire following positive doping sample - 12 games ago he played for Man United

As per Fabrizio Romano, Paul Pogba's samples have tested positive during a doping check meaning he could face a lengthy ban.

The former Manchester United midfielder reportedly had unusual levels of testosterone in his body, leading to the positive result.

The first test was found positive and then the second test also returned positive samples for a drug in his blood - which wasn't just testosterone.

There is no clarity as to how long he's been involved in doping. After all, he played for the Red Devils merely 12 games ago - such has been his fall from the top.

Pogba, 30, has been through an unlucky spell since leaving Man United as he struggles with injuries, poor form and more.

Juventus have made no comment so far but will have to take a closer look at his contract as they decide what to do next.

Pogba is contracted to Juventus till at least 2025.
