'Never wanted to break rules’: Pogba's agent issues statement after testing positive in anti-doping test

Former Man United midfielder Paul Pogba has been banned in Italy after testing positive in an anti-dope test last month.

The Frenchman reportedly had testosterone (a banned substance) in his body and could face multiple-year ban if unable to prove himself innocent.

Pogba’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, issued a statement on the situation and said: “We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can't say anything.

“The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”

Pogba will hope that in the counter-analysis test his anti-dope results come out as negative, because if it doesn’t, he faces a strict ban in Italy and could even be released by Juventus.
