Fred has basically confirmed Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir’s imminent transfer to Man United.
He sent a message to his (ex)teammate and said: “I wished Altay good luck when he left. He is going to join a great team. Altay will be very happy at Manchester United.
“I suggested some neighbourhoods where he could live. I told him it was raining a lot.”
The Red Devils are close to announcing the signing of a new goalkeeper, who will replace the outgoing Dean Henderson after his move to Crystal Palace.
Bayindir is expected to be the no.2 at Old Trafford behind Andre Onana, with Erik ten Hag having pushed for his signing after seeing Tom Heaton pick up an injury.
The 25-year-old made 145 appearances for Fenerbache, keeping 44 clean sheets for them.
