Man United ended their 2023 USA pre-season tour with a 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, July 30.
The Red Devils conceded some really cheap goals that had Erik ten Hag fuming at full-time.
They allowed Dortmund to score twice in the first half and their second goal was due to some horrible defending.
Tom Heaton passed the ball short to Victor Lindelof, who panicked against the high press from the opposition players.
He ultimately gave it away before the game was played into the box, where Donyell Malen scored from close range.
After the goal, Brandon Williams seemingly had a go at Heaton and even told him it is ‘your f****** fault’ to have conceded like that.
On second glance, he might’ve been right. Williams had gone wide to give Heaton the chance to pass the ball to him, which would’ve allowed the left-back to move it forward safely through the channels.
Instead, he took the wrong option of passing to Lindelof – who had multiple bodies around him ready to pounce.
This episode was similar to the mini-row that Andre Onana had with Harry Maguire in the second half.
Ten Hag, on the other hand, was left pissed by the way his side conceded the second goal and looked angry at the touchline.
