Hannibal 7.5, Shoretire 3: Rating Man United players in Wrexham loss

Hannibal: 7.5/10. Put in a lot of effort, threatening with his runs and passes as he was all over the pitch for United. It felt as if everyone on the pitch was looking for him to make something happen as he was involved in every United attack. Unfortunately, had no end product to his game but his playmaking abilities and leadership were impressive.

Fernandez: 7.5. Showed some good technique on the ball on several occasions. Supported the attacks well, providing an assist with an excellent cross, but there are question marks over his defensive abilities today with the first goal coming from his area.

Jurado: 7. Creative with his passing, often drifted inwards, playing in a fashionable hybrid full-back role. Scored a lovely goal after cutting inside and connecting to a cross from the opposite half. Was nowhere to be seen when Wrexham scored the third goal as Mendy was absolutely free to make a cross that became an assist.

Gore: 6. Captained the team and did pretty well controlling the ball and moving it forward before lunging in on a Wrexham player just two minutes after the break and getting sent off. The red card wasn't really justified but I guess it's a lesson for the young midfielder.

Fish: 6. Created danger with long-range passes, connecting defence and the forward line. Wasn't that good with his defensive duties, failing to read the situation when Wrexham opened the scoring.

Evans: 5.5. The veteran defender, who's training with the club after being released by Leicester, was the only senior player on the pitch for United today. Very audible on the pitch, helping his younger teammates. Beaten for pace by Mullin a few times. But clearly not good enough for the first team.

Bishop: 3. Got away with only a booking for what would have been a red-card offence in the Premier League. It was a really rash and unnecessary challenge. Should have come out to claim the cross that led to Wrexham's opener.

Oyedele: 3. Came on in the second half but showed no spirit or desire to impress Ten Hag, making wrong decisions on the ball and not putting in tackles when needed.

Shoretire: 3. Considering he's one of the most experienced players in this team, should have taken the initiative more often but Shola was rather invisible today.

Others: Vitek 6.5, Hansen-Aarøen, Hugill, Aljofree 5; McNeill, Collyer 4; Kambwala, Mejia N/A
