'No chance': Man United told they won't get anywhere near Premier League title without a 'clinical' striker

Speaking to Football Insider ahead of the new season, Gabriel Agbonlahor said: "No chance for Manchester United to compete for the title without a top striker.

"Marcus Rashford has been outstanding, and you'd say he can do it again. Antony has been poor, so he'll need to improve his numbers.

"But a striker has to be the top priority. They will get one by the time the season starts, I'm sure. They've still got great pulling power.

"You can't rely on Bruno Fernandes and Rashford as the main goalscorers. You need someone clinical, and they always have done. They need a top no.9."

The training ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season is already fully underway but Man United are no closer to finally bringing in a proper replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at no.9.

Tottenham's Harry Kane, Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund continue to be linked with a move to Old Trafford but there has been little progress in talks for the strikers.
