'When I saw my team lose 7-3, I couldn’t spend more time in Disney World': Casemiro once cut holidays short to help Madrid

In the summer of 2019, Casemiro was a part of the Brazilian national team that won the Copa America on home soil.

As always after major competitions, Casemiro was given an extended rest by Real Madrid who started their pre-season tour in the United States.

The midfielder decided to cut his holiday short, however, after seeing his team's horrible defeat to Atletico Madrid in New Jersey.

"When I saw my team lose 7-3 - I decided that I couldn’t continue my vacation and go to Disney World. That’s why I returned earlier than expected," Casemiro said a few months later in an interview with Onda Cero.

The moral of the story is that we should not doubt the 30-year-old's professionalism as he is joining Man United - maybe this is exactly what the Red Devils need on the training ground and on the pitch right now.
