Varane suffers injury blow against Ivory Coast - Didier Deschamps provides an update

Raphael Varane had to be substituted in France’s 2-1 win over Ivory Coast after seemingly suffering an injury.

French manager Didier Deschamps confirmed after the game that the Man United defender ‘has a small problem with his foot’.

He did not confirm the extent of his injury and whether he will miss any games because of it.

However, Varane was spotted jogging off the pitch after being substituted due to an injury scare – which indicates that it probably isn’t that serious.

The Frenchman has suffered his share of injury issues this season, missing 14 games due to several problems over this campaign.

United are back in action against Leicester City on Saturday, 2nd April and it remains to be seen whether Varane can be back in action for that.
