Eric Bailly has flown back into Manchester, only days after being given permission to join the Ivory Coast squad early to prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations, claims the Telegraph.
The centre-back received an emergency call from Ralf Rangnick urging him to return in time for the Burnley clash.
The Ivory Coast team granted Man United permission to have Bailly back for the game.
The centre-back was reportedly shocked to get called back for the game as he prepared with his national team.
With Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire both struggling as well as Victor Lindelof out with Covid-19, Bailly could potentially be in line to start against Burnley.
The centre-back can play in the games against Burnley and Wolves, but must be released for AFCON duty after that.
Ivory Coast begin their AFCON campaign on January 12 and Bailly is expected to be a key part of the team.
