Man United fans were eager to see the Paul Pogba vs Bruno Fernandes duel during Portugal’s 2-2 draw against France on Wednesday.
Instead, Bruno didn’t even start the game – but the fans got their eyes on an underrated talent within the Portuguese squad in midfielder Joao Palhinha.
The 25-year-old has been impressing for Sporting Lisbon and even won the Liga NOS title with them last season.
He replaced Danilo Pereira in the second half and put up a gritty performance – even nutmegging Paul Pogba in the process!
Palhinha is a natural defensive midfielder with a lot of intelligence and knowing the Red Devils' history with Sporting Lisbon players, United fans believe he can be a clever signing in the summer and reacted.
