Ashley Young has officially signed for Aston Villa, the club he played for from 2007 to 2011, on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old left Manchester United in January 2020 and joined Inter Milan, featuring in 44 league games and winning the 2020/21 Serie A title under Antonio Conte.
Young said: "It feels amazing to be back – it feels like I've not left. You can see how much the club has evolved since my time and I'm just ready to get down to work. I've still got that winning mentality, that desire and hunger to go and win."
Young spent 9 years at Manchester United after moving from Villa, scoring 15 goals in 192 games for the Red Devils. The Englishman won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the Community Shield and the Europa League at Old Trafford.
