Paul Pogba has been named in Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week after his heroics for Man United in the 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Frenchman toyed with the Spurs’ midfielders in midfield and even got an assist for Mason Greenwood’s late goal.
Justifying his selection, Shearer wrote for PremierLeague.com: “When he plays like that he’s unplayable, as he showed for the final goal as he waltzed past Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, shrugged off Eric Dier and played in Mason Greenwood."
However, Shearer did not pick Edinson Cavani – who scored a brilliant diving header and played prominent roles in setting up the other two as well.
Instead, Alexandre Lacazette was chosen for his brace against Sheffield United – while Jesse Lingard was also included for his brilliant brace vs Leicester City.
