Ex-England international Trevor Sinclair: McTominay wouldn't get into West Ham's starting XI

Speaking on talkSPORT, former England winger Trevor Sinclair said: "Tomas Soucek and Declain Rice keep Scott McTominay out of the West Ham side, whereas Rice walks into the Manchester United side.

"When you look at McTominay going into the West Ham side, he's not going to play in one of the forward midfield positions. Soucek is the top scorer and there's an argument that Rice is better than McTominay.

"Both teams play a 4-2-3-1 so I think the two holding midfielders at West Ham, Soucek and Rice, stay but I think if Rice goes to Man United he takes the position of either McTominay or Fred."

The Scot has established himself as one of the most consistent performers at Old Trafford this season, dominating in midfield and scoring 7 goals across all competitions.

While Soucek and Rice have been doing well for West Ham in the Premier League, it was McTominay who made sure that the Hammers will not be playing in the FA Cup's sixth round next month.
