Former Man United midfielder Marouane Fellaini was discharged from a Chinese hospital on Tuesday after a 3-week battle with the novel coronavirus.
The 32-year-old, who left the Red Devils for Shandong Luneng in January 2019, remains the only Chinese Super League player known to have contracted COVID-19, testing positive for the disease on March 22.
"Fellaini was assessed and was deemed to have recovered, and was discharged today," Shandong said in a brief statement, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
The Belgian will now spend 14 days in quarantine for further observation.
Fellaini featured for United 177 times during his six-year spell at Old Trafford.
