Goal: United eye cut-price January move for Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is set to leave Tottenham after refusing to put pen to paper on a new contract, with his current one expiring at the end of the season.

According to Goal, United are looking to make a January move for the midfielder when the transfer window reopens as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a new midfielder.

The Red Devils have failed to replace Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the summer, leaving the Norwegian with few options in midfield for the 2019/20 campaign.

Spurs are believed to be willing to let the 27-year-old leave in January in order to avoid losing him a free transfer in June.

Eriksen allegedly prefers a move to Real Madrid but the La Liga giants are said to have set their sights on signing United's own Paul Pogba.
