Liverpool star nominated for Premier League Player of the Season – it's not Mo Salah

Mohamed Salah has missed out on a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Season for the first time since he arrived in England in 2017.

Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk has been nominated for the top award. But the big man is up for a serious battle as seven other tough rivals challenge him.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Erling Haaland (Man City) and Phil Foden (Man City) have all been nominated alongside Van Dijk.
