James Pearce: No agreement between Liverpool and Amorim

It has been reported earlier today that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Ruben Amorim to take charge at the club in the summer. It's also been claimed that the only thing left was negotiating with Sporting to let the 39-year-old go.

However, James Pearce, one of the most credible journalists out there, insists it's not the case.

"Amorim clearly a strong contender for LFC job but senior club sources adamant he hasn't been offered the job, no verbal agreement etc," Pearce tweeted.

"Club still doing due diligence around a number of viable candidates."
