Ornstein rules De Zerbi out for Liverpool job – provides update on Amorim, Inzaghi and others

David Ornstein has provided an update on Liverpool's hunt for the next manager and ruled out a move for Roberto De Zerbi.

Ornstein's reports, which are usually reliable, say that Liverpool will not be interested in a move for the Brighton boss but Ruben Amorim is 'definitely' being considered.

"I don’t think it’s going to be De Zerbi [for the Liverpool job]," explained the journalist.

"Ruben Amorim is definitely in the mix, one of the contenders but not the standout.

"There is also Thiago Motta, Inzaghi, Tuchel, Flick, but Liverpool haven't made a decision yet."
