Police confirm arrest over tragedy chanting at Old Trafford
The Man United v Liverpool game was marred by anti-Hillsborough chanting by the home crowd.
The Greater Manchester Police spokesperson has confirmed that one person has been arrested and said: “The incidents today crossed the line of what is acceptable, and we will work closely with both clubs to identify anyone responsible.”
Luis Diaz not training with Colombia after joining squad
Luis Diaz has joined the Colombia national team that has set up camp in London. He has yet to start training with the team, though.
According to Noticias Caracol, the winger was doing recovery work in the gym after playing this Sunday in the FA Cup against Man United. Still, he could likely be involved in a friendly against Spain on Friday, March 22.
Southgate planned to use Trent in midfield
If Trent Alexander-Arnold had been fit to play for England during this international break, Gareth Southgate would've used him in midfield, according to the Daily Mail.
The Liverpool right-back played well in a few games for England in that role, but the head coach wanted to try him against top opposition like Brazil and Belgium who England are facing in two friendlies.
