'Ibou was rather positive': Klopp gives Konate injury update ahead of Man City game

The only negative from Liverpool's 5-1 over Sparta Prague was an injury worry for Ibrahima Konate, and Jurgen Klopp still doesn't know how serious the issue is.

"Ibou, I don't know. Ibou was rather positive [on Thursday], and thought he made the right decision in the right moment (to go off)," Klopp told a press conference.

"That doesn't mean a lot, unfortunately. He will get scanned definitely and so far I don't have the result of that yet."

It does not look likely that Konate gets risked on Sunday when Liverpool take on Man City, even though the Frenchman has been in great form.

In his absence, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah are the two candidates to play alongside Virgil van Dijk.
