Jurgen Klopp has confirmed earlier reports that Thiago might not play for Liverpool again this season. The midfielder made only one appearance for the Reds this campaign, a cameo against Arsenal, between two injuries.
"There is no timescale. I don't know [if he will play again this season]. It's not that he might be in training in two weeks. I can't say more about it," the boss said of Thiago, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
"Stefan is one of these things," Klopp added about Bajcetic. "I saw him training and thought 'Why is he not playing?' He is gaining fitness but he didn't get the green light yet to train with us."
Bajcetic's situation looks quite similar to that of Thiago. The younger midfielder returned from an adductor problem, made two first-team appearances and sustained a calf injury.
