'I hate it': Szoboszlai explains why he missed Carabao Cup final

Dominik Szoboszlai was forced to watch the League Cup final from the stands as he was not deemed fit enough to make the Liverpool squad.

"They (medical team) are careful with me," the midfielder told Hungarian TV, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

"If it would be up to me I would play (today). I hate it. I hate not playing. I had a lot of disagreements with the doctors."

The Hungary international sustained a hamstring injury on January 1 against Newcastle. He came back against on Norwich January 28 but suffered a relapse against Chelsea on January 31 and has been absent since.
