For the second half against Burnley, Jurgen Klopp made a surprising change, introducing Harvey Elliott for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Live coverage of the game explained that the substitution was an injury precaution.
This is concerning given that Trent missed a month earlier this season with a knee issue.
More worryingly, Liverpool have no other right-back available today. Joe Gomez is ill while Conor Bradley is absent — so Klopp had to turn to Curtis Jones to fill the void.
The substitution worked in a way, though: Elliott provided an assist for Luis Diaz's goal that gave the Reds a 2-1 lead early in the second half.
