Well, it did not last long: Thiago Alcantara picked up a muscle injury after playing for barely 10 minutes last weekend against Arsenal in his first game since April.
Back in 2020, Thiago was signed as a player who could add a new dimension to Liverpool's midfield, and he did that when he was fit. Unfortunately, those days are a distant memory now.
With his contract expiring this year and no sign that a new deal will be offered, Liverpool fans seem resigned to the possibility that they may never see Thiago play again — even if his current injury is not that serious.
