Liverpool learn FA Cup Fifth Round opponent, game to be played 3 days after League Cup final

Liverpool will face Southampton in the FA Cup Fifth Round. The game will be held at Anfield on February 28 (KO 8pm).

It has to be noted that the Saints game will happen only three days after the League Cup final against Chelsea (February 25, kick-off 4pm).

The Reds were forced to wait to learn their opponent because the Southampton v Watford tie required a replay. The first game ended in a 1-1 draw and the Saints defeated the Hornets 3-0 in the replay.

Liverpool defeated Norwich 5-2 in the Fourth Round game on January 28.
