Ex-Egypt striker Mido takes bizarre swipe at Salah – gets hammered by fans in the replies

Former Egypt striker Mido took a bitter swipe at Mo Salah with a screenshot of the injured winger's Instagram story.

Salah is back in Liverpool as he hopes to complete his recovery in time to link up with the Egypt squad at AFCON.

Jurgen Klopp explained the decision to bring him back to Liverpool, saying: "If he stays in Africa and they can't do the proper treatment, it will just delay everything, especially for Egypt if they go through the tournament.

"We bring him here not because we want to take him away from Egypt but just to offer the best medical treatment. That is all we want."

Salah posted a story on his Instagram in which he can be seen doing injury rehab. Mido, for some reason, took a screenshot of the images and posted the following tweet.

He wrote: "Oh, these exercises are so dirty and rigid, it is difficult to do them except in Liverpool."

It's quite an absurd thing to write about your own country's superstar, who is trying his best to recover in time to represent his country.

Mido then faced the wrath of fans on Twitter who brought out some hilarious replies to his tweet.

AnythingLFC: "Mido: 277 total career appearance

"Salah: 583 and counting career appearances.

"Salah: 281 career goals> Mido appearances.

"Salah is one of the world’s best at 31 for a reason, maybe if you trained like Salah you could’ve become half the player he is.

"Respect the goat."

SamuelLFC: "Mo Salah is 31 and one of the best players in the world maintaining peak physical fitness, while you retired at 29 and couldn’t stay fit most of your career."
