Egyptian Football Federation provide fresh update on Salah injury

"Mohamed Salah has suffered a strain in his back muscle and will miss two matches in the Africa Cup of Nations," read the statement.

"The X-rays that Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Egyptian national team, underwent, showed that he suffered a strain in the posterior muscle. 

"He will miss the team’s next two matches in AFCON against Cape Verde, and then the round of 16 match in the event of qualification."

A pulled muscle usually lasts four to six days. The strain should heal completely before the muscle is fully strained again. Otherwise there is a greater risk of re-injury. It can take two weeks or more before a muscle is fully resilient again. 😌

Damn right lad. I'm not sure what to make of this news to be honest. Is it better that it's his back, rather than  his hamstring 🤔. It's very vague, to say the least, He needs to be flown home immediately. If Whatever is wrong with him isn't properly diagnosed, it could quite easily end up disastrous for us long term. He needs to come back ASAP 🤬

Any type of back injury is not good, muscles can size up, then exercise can make matters worse if he doesn't get, pain treatment,  massage and gentle muscle rotation. If it's the Sciatic nerve, that is extremely painful and affects the whole muscular system right down the leg.  You would expect them to have a good medical team at hand but information is rather vague.  

A hamstring injury is a lot different to a back muscle injury. I also think he needs to come home 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ get well Mo. If your not right get back home now YNWA!!

I can certainly vouch for that Laurie. I have had & continue to have issues with my back. Sciatica, is definitely brutal my step father had it. He was in tears with the pain 😢. They don't seem to have a clue, what is specifically wrong with Salah. This isn't going to end well 😕 at all, for Mo, or us, by the sounds of it.

As for you trying to make up a "racist" link, merely because I quoted facts from the article as well as how I have heard Liverpool medical reports in the past, makes me think you need to concentrate on football more and not the bullshit promoted on anti social media. I'm certainly no medical expert, but I've never heard any of our medics say a player "has suffered a strain in his "back muscle. " 🤔 

And people wonder why I continually say international football is an amateur level game run and staffed by amateurs.   We need this abhorrent money-making exercise wiped out immediately!
