Dubravka describes Jota in two words after penalty 'dive' irks Neville, Terry, Wright

Diogo Jota won a penalty late in the game against Newcastle on Monday. Mohamed Salah dispatched the spot-kick, setting the final scoreline in Liveprool's 4-2 win.

The penalty has generated a lot of controversy. Gary Neville blamed the Portugal international for diving while commentating the game on Sky Sports. Other ex-players have chipped in as well.

Ian Wright tweeted: "Would rather go down for a penalty than put the ball in an empty net! Seen it all!". And John Terry wrote: "How on Earth is that a penalty? Shocking dive ! The worst thing is VAR give it?"

Martin Dubravka says he has accepted Anthony Taylor's and VAR's decision, despite insisting that it wasn't correct.

The Newcastle goalie told NUFC TV post-match: "It is a frustration because he's a clever guy. I tried to pull my arms and not catch him. I felt the contact but I don't know what else I should do.

"In the end it was a penalty, so there's no point in arguing with them. With the VAR... I don't know what to say. I tried to save another penalty [from Salah] but it was just a gamble."
