'The video he posted didn't help': Bogdan names one mistake Karuis made after Champions League final blunder

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan shared his thoughts on the 2018 Champions League final from a keeper's perspective and maintains that Loris Karius was a really good player.

"It's crazy how close you come, you play a Champions League final and as I say, it didn't really work out in the end," said Bogdan on the Kopite Podcast. "You get to a Champions League final, how many players are dreaming of this?

"What didn't help him is the video he posted after the Champions League final, I don't know if you remember, that he's in Los Angeles and living a life."

"He is entitled to," continued Bogdan. "But at the end didn't have the best optical after losing the Champions League final.

"Having said that, he worked hard. Anybody who is at Liverpool work incredibly hard in the gym, on the pitch, doing the right thing sleeping-wise and recovering-wise so he is no different.

"I'm gonna say again, he played the Champions League final and he helped the team in getting there so he is a really good goalkeeper, but certainly what didn't help him in that moment was posting that sort of video after losing a final, which of course would hurt fans."

The video in question was posted two months after the final defeat and featured Karius spending time in a Los Angeles mansino and around the city.

"Liverpool fans are not stupid, they understand being in a Champions League final is a huge thing so of course fans would be angry at the time, but at the same time people are humans, they make mistakes, but at the same time not showing enough remorse, I would say.

"Nevertheless, he is a top professional, he trained his best, he played his best and he tried to give his best all of the time."
